Foregut is the official journal of the American Foregut Society (AFS) which is an interdisciplinary society made up of gastroenterologists and surgeons. We are the only subscription journal to focus exclusively on foregut disease, and link medical, endoscopic and surgical disciplines. Our editorial board and associate editors are composed of equal numbers of foregut surgeons and gastroenterologists. Foregut is also the official journal of the European Foregut Society (EFS).

Foregut publishes original research, practice guidelines and solicited articles devoted to the field, becoming the premier journal for clinicians who consider foregut their specialty. All reviews will be from both GI and surgery. Many of our articles will have an accompanying commentary from an AFS member, providing expert perspective in the area of the publication.
