The Journal of Wellbeing Economics is an academic journal publishing refereed papers on the
economics of subjective well-being and mental health. We welcome theoretical contributions,
empirical studies, and analyses of wellbeing policy from the economic perspective including
contributions on the causes and consequences of individual and societal well-being,
measurement of well-being, and evaluation of well-being interventions. The journal particularly
focuses on subjective well-being and mental health as main outcome measures, but occasionally
also welcomes contributions using different approaches to gauge wellbeing, such as the
capability approach.
