Agricultural Economics Research Review
Agricultural Economics Research Review (ARA), the official publication of the Agricultural Economics Research Association (India), a registered society, came into being in 1987 is a bi-annual journal. The first issue was published in the year 1988. It publishes full papers and short communications reporting original research, basic and applied, which contribute towards improving quality of research in agricultural economics and rural development. The Association regularly organizes annual conferences on issues of contemporary importance and also undertakes sponsored research in agricultural economics rural development. The Association is now widely recognized for its professional contributions and credibility.
The Agricultural Economics Research Review (AERR) aims to serve as a premier scholarly platform for advancing high-quality research in agricultural economics and related disciplines. By encouraging rigorous empirical analysis, theoretical innovation, and interdisciplinary perspectives, AERR contributes to shaping informed discourse among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. The journal publishes original research articles, book reviews, and research notes that address key issues related to agricultural production and productivity, agribusiness and value chains, rural livelihoods, food and nutrition security, environmental economics, agricultural markets, price and trade policy, and the socio-economic impacts of public policies and programmes. To encourage young researchers, abstracts of M.Sc and Ph.D theses in agricultural economics and policy research are also published. Studies employing robust quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches are encouraged.
