SAGE acquires The Goodwin Group International, LLC publisher of MD Conference Express®

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE, the global independent scholarly and professional publisher, announced today the acquisition of The Goodwin Group International, LLC, publisher of MD Conference Express®, the first publication to subject medical conference highlights to the rigorous test of peer review.

The acquisition will strengthen SAGE’s ability to disseminate peer-reviewed content in medical disciplines and will complement SAGE’s current portfolio of more than 150 medical journals published on behalf of more than 100 medical societies.




How do men and women respond to gender bias in STEM?

Los Angeles, CA. Research has revealed that gender biases limit the opportunities for women within science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. But just how prevalent are these biases and how are they perceived differently by men and women? A new study out today in Psychology of Women Quarterly examined a well-known space for candid sharing of thoughts – the comments sections of online articles – and found that men are much less likely to agree with scientific evidence of gender bias in STEM than women.





SAGE Publishing extends partnership with EBSCO Information Services to expand distribution of its journals portfolio

SAGE Publishing today announces an expanded partnership with EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) to broaden the availability of SAGE’s journals portfolio to North American public, corporate, medical, and other special libraries. With this partnership, EBSCO will begin selling SAGE’s journal packages and collections, which are housed on the recently relaunched SAGE Journals platform. SAGE will continue to partner with EBSCO for journal and e-package subscriptions in the academic markets globally as well.
