This journal aims to advance the care of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. The journal strives to serve as the premier, international, peer-reviewed journal covering all clinical and translational aspects of psychopharmacology and neurotherapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults. The journal also covers work focused on adults with neurodevelopmental disorders (including genetic syndromes, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). 

Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology (JCAP) aims to advance the care of children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders. JCAP strives to serve as the premier, international, peer-reviewed journal covering all clinical and translational aspects of psychopharmacology and neurotherapeutic interventions for children, adolescents, and young adults. The journal also covers work focused on adults with neurodevelopmental disorders (including genetic syndromes, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and attention deficit hyperactvity disorder).

This wide-ranging focus includes: animal models, artificial intelligence, basic science, biostatistics, care delivery in pediatric settings, clinical trials, diagnostic considerations, diversity, drug development, drug interactions, inclusivity, interventional psychiatry, healthcare equity, neurodevelopmental disorders across the lifespan, neuroscience, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacogenetics, psychotherapy, molecular genetics, science of healthcare delivery, side effects, and social determinants of health.

Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology is under the editorial leadership of Editor-in-Chief Paul Croarkin, DO, MS, Mayo Clinic Children’s Research Center, and other leading investigators.
