David Daly, MBBS, FANZCA, Senior Staff Anaesthetist Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, Australia
Dr Daly is a University of Melbourne graduate who completed fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 1998. He trained initially at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and latter at the Austin and Repatriation Medical Centres. Following a Fellowship year in Cambridge UK he returned to practice at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. His clinical interests include cardiothoracic transplantation, mechanical cardiac support, haematological complications of cardiac surgery, human factor analysis, evidence based medicine and critical appraisal. Dr Daly is the current Chair of the ANZCA Cardiothoracic, Vascular and Perfusion Special Interest Group. He is student and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University where he is completing a Master Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and teaches perioperative medicine.
