Stephen F. Gambescia, Editor-in-Chief of Pedagogy in Health Promotion, is Professor in the College of Nursing and Health Profession at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA (USA). He has more than 30 years experience in health promotion/disease prevention in health care, workplace, and community sites. He has held a number of educational leadership roles with two national voluntary health organizations and several colleges. Dr. Gambescia is very active in professional associations; he served as president of the Society for Public Health Education. His research interests have been in tobacco control, chronic disease risk awareness/prevention, and broadly in health communication. His research interests in higher education include continuing professional education program development, evaluation, credentialing, and in online learning. He served as chair of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. Dr. Gambescia’s academic formation spans a range of fields; he has varied interests which allow him to publish in a range of peer-review journals.
