Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part E: Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering
The Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering is a Scopus indexed journal which publishes high-quality papers covering a broad area of mechanical engineering activities associated with the design and operation of process equipment.
"The process mechanical industries are fundamental to providing society with its basic needs in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. Be it process to refine oil products, produce food, medicine, personal products, or indeed machinery - all are produced in vast quantities using specialised equipment. With advents in computing, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), there is a rising opportunity to enhance these processes and machinery. It is the fundamentals and application of these processes and equipment, their design, operation, and maintenance, that sit within the scope of the Journal of Process Mechanical Engineering, Part E of the Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
We welcome papers from academia and industry which cover broad area of process mechanical engineering. These could be review, research or application papers. Papers related to fundamental understanding of processes applicable to wide range of process mechanical engineering are especially welcome. Our focus is on producing special issues related to upcoming topics of Process Mechanical Engineering and would welcome all proposals which include Digitalisation, IoT, AI, and new technologies in this area. We can confirm that at all stages in the consideration of your paper we will endeavour to act as speedily as possible whilst maintaining academic rigour.
In order to enhance outreach of the journal and to maintain and improve quality of published papers we welcome experts in topics broadly related to Process Mechanical Engineering to apply for positions of Associate Editors, Editors of Special Issues and Reviewers." Professor Kim Tiow Ooi, Nanjang Technological University, Singapore and Prof Ahmed Kovacevic, City, University London, UK.
