SAGE Publishing welcomes The Journal of Modern European History

SAGE Publishing will begin publishing the Journal of Modern European History, a quarterly journal, from February 2019.

The journal, edited by historians from around the world, centres each volume on different historical topics, widening the debate beyond the usual focus on nations such as England, France or Germany. The journal is open to all methodological and theoretical approaches.

Lean Library’s Library Alternatives, the module of the Lean Library browser extension that facilitates alternative routes to full-text resources, will now support eBooks. Acquired by SAGE Publishing earlier this year, the award-winning technology platform allows seamless access to journals, articles, open access content, and now eBooks that are licensed by a user’s library, keeping them from paying for content they already have access to or being discouraged from using content altogether.


SAGE debuts Terminology Service with open Social Science Thesaurus

Housing over 61,000 concepts, SAGE Publishing’s new Terminology Service is a valuable tool to aid researchers in understanding and exploring key concepts.

It launches with the SAGE Social Science Thesaurus, a multidisciplinary vocabulary of the most important concepts in the social sciences that combines concepts, relationships and definitions. Most of this vocabulary has been created by using semantic text mining to put structure around text content published by SAGE.


SAGE Launches Comprehensive Research Methods Reference Resource

SAGE Publishing today launches SAGE Research Methods Foundations, an online reference resource on all aspects of research methods and the research process for the social sciences. The resource contains hundreds of entries written by an international roster of methods experts, such as psychologist Paul Stenner and sociologist Guillermina Jasso, each between 500 and 10,000 words.

University of Exeter becomes first European university to purchase complete primary source portfolio from Adam Matthew Digital

Adam Matthew Digital is delighted to announce today that University of Exeter has become the first European university to purchase its entire digital primary source portfolio of over 100 modules.

The University, a long-time supporter of AM Digital, made its first digital purchase in 2008, and this week has completed its portfolio, with the addition of all new content publishing in 2019, as well as the entire suite of digitised microfilm.
